Ojamajo Doremi
Characters List

born : July 30, 1990
color : Pink
fairy : Dodo
normal spell :
Pirika Pirilala Popolina Peperuto
magical stage spell :
Pirika Pirilala Nobiyakani

She is the protagonist of Ojamajo Doremi. Doremi reflects a typical maho shojo: lively to the point of being noisy, a poor student, clumsy and careless but very compassionate, and has shown to be boy-crazy in earlier seasons. She has a younger sister named Pop. Her favorite food is steak (which she rarely obtains throughout the entire series). She proclaims herself to be "the unluckiest pretty girl in the whole world." Her name is a play on the first 3 notes of the musical scale DoReMi.

Doremi became a witch apprentice after loosing her way coming home from school. She ended up at the Makihatayama Rika's MAHO Dou, and discovered that the owner of the shop was a real witch.

Doremi's favorite color is pink. Her fairy's name is Dodo (named after the first note on the musical scale). Her normal spell is Pirika Pirilala Popolina Peperuto. Her Magical Stage spell is Pirika Pirilala Nobiyakani. In the original Japanese version she is voiced by Chiemi Chiba. In the English adaption she is voiced by Amy Palant, where she is known as Dorie Goodwyn.

Hazuki Fujiwara (藤原はづき)
born : February 14, 1991
color : Orange
fairy : Rere
normal spell :
Paipai Ponpoi Puwapuwa Puu
magical stage spell :
Paipai Ponpoi Shinayakani

She is a friend of Doremi since kindergarten, is a shy, passive and sweet girl. It was believed that her family's wealth came from her father Akira's job as a film director, but it was explained that Hazuki's grandparents were already millionaires before Akira married Reiko. Hazuki cares about her family very much, especially her mother; she did not really like the dresses she got from her mother, but would do everything that she was asked to do. Hazuki has a large fear of ghosts and tries to counter it with thoughts of Majo Rika; this seldom works. In the end, she chose a specially reputated secondary school rather than staying with Doremi.

Hazuki became a witch apprentice after her and Aiko discovered Doremi's secret life early in the series at the Makihatayama Rika's MAHO Dou. Hazuki's favorite color is orange. Her fairy's name is Rere, named after the second note on the musical scale. Her normal spell is Paipai Ponpoi Puwapuwa Puu. Her Magical Stage spell is Paipai Ponpoi Shinayakani. In the original Japanese version, she is voiced by Tomoko Akiya.

She known in the English adaptation as Mirabelle Haywood, is an outgoing tomboy who has split-curled hair. She is a transfer student from Osaka and speaks in Kansai-ben, a Japanese dialect originating in Osaka (In the English production, she is given a Brooklyn accent). Her parents are divorced, so she lives with her father, a taxi driver, while her mother, a nurse, works in Osaka. She loves both her parents very much and wishes for them to get back together, even going so far as to attempt forbidden magic to do so.

She is also one of the most athletic students in the school, but also has a short temper. In the end, she left with her parents back to Osaka and is living happily with them and her grandpa. Her fairy's name is Mimi. Her spell is 'Pameruku Raruku Laliloli Poppun', and her Magical Stage spell is 'Pameruku Raruku Takarakani'. Pop Harukaze (春風ぽっぷ)
born : September 9, 1994

magical stage spell : Pipito Puritto Pokarakani

She also known as Poppu Harukaze, is Doremi's younger sister. She is much more responsible than her sister, despite her age. She is very popular at school, for she has five "boyfriends".

Pop becomes a witch apprentice after witnessing Doremi, Hazuki, and Aiko's Magical Stage in the middle of the first season. Pop's fairy's name is Fafa, named after the 4th note in the musical scale. Her spell is Pipito Puritto Puritan Peperuto. Pop's first poron was a Peperuto Poron, like Doremi, which was later upgraded early in Ojamajo Doremi #, allowing her to skip from level 10 witch apprenticeship to level 6 because she saved the Witch World from a flood of milk created by Hana. Her Magical Stage spell is Pipito Puritto Pokarakani.

Like Hana, she only has one witch outfit. This is due to the fact that she usually cannot stay up late enough to participate in her tests. Pop's birthday is Friday, September 9, 1994.

Onpu Segawa, (瀬川おんぷ)
born : March 3, 1991
color : Purple

She known in the English adaptation as Ellie Craft, is a famous Japanese idol whose the number of her fans exceeds a million and who became a witch apprentice of Majo Ruka, a rival of Majo Rika. She is adored by many, although mostly boys at first. She was cool and enigmatic, but her kind and selfless heart is slowly built as she spends more time with Doremi and her friends.

She lives with her mother (Segawa Miho or Sakurai Clara in media field), who used to be a singer herself before an accident occurred, and now she becomes her daughter's manager. Her father (Segawa Tsuyoshi) is often away from home as a train-driver. In the end, she moves away to study in a school that can make her pursue her dream of becoming a real star, and starts to become more popular with the release of her novel. Her fairy's name is Roro. Her spell is 'Pururun Purun Fami Fami Faa', and her Magical Stage spell is 'Pururun Purun Suzuyakani'. In the original Japanese version, she is voiced by Rumi Shishido. One day, Momoko opens a door in the back of Monroe's bakery, and sees her flying on a broomstick, discovering that she is a witch. Majo Monroe takes Momoko as her own apprentice. One year later, Momoko becomes a witch herself. Shortly, Majo Monroe tells Momoko that she will die and to take her prized earing. Momoko, in tears, attempts to preform forbidden magic to bring her beloved Majo Monroe back to life, but fails and looses her magic powers.

The Queen of the Witch World decides to give Momoko a second chance when she moves back to Japan, and allows her to become an witch apprentice again along with Doremi and her friends. Momoko over the years has lost her ability to speak her native language, so Doremi and the others decided that they would help her relearn Japanese. Momoko is the only Ojamajo that is bilignual.

Momoko's fairy is Nini. Her spell is Peruton Peton Palalila Pon. Her Magical Stage spell is Peruton Peton Sawayakani. She is voiced by Nami Miyahara. Her crystal is a 3-leaf clover. She is the oldest out of the Ojamajos.

Hana Makihatayama

born : March 25, 2000 (beginning of 2nd season)
color : White
fairy : Toto
normal spell : Poruri Pirari Hana Hana Pi
magical stage spell : -

Hana is a baby witch born in a flower at the beginning of the 2nd season. She's entrusted by the Queen to DoReMi, Aiko, Hazuki and Onpu. She's a real crybaby at the beginning (like a regular baby ^^). Throughout the 2nd and 3rd seasons, she'll live lots of great adventures : she'll almost be kidnapped by Oyajide, almost taken away from her mothers by the physician... At the beginning of the 4th season, for a reason I ignore, she'll get the appearance of a girl as old as the others, however, she keeps her 3 years old's mental . ^^

She was a baby born from the Witch Queen Rose, a large blue flower in the Witch Queen Garden that produces a new baby every 100 years as successor to the throne. Hana is given to Doremi to be cared for after she stumbles across her. In Ojamajo Doremi Dokka~n!, she transforms herself into an 11-year-old so she could attend school with her "mothers" and takes on the name of Hana Makihatayama. Of all her "mothers", Doremi's personality is more apparent in her. Hana returns to the Witch World with Majo Rika and the fairies in the end. Her fairy is Toto, who is as excitable as Hana. Hana's theme color is white and her crystal is a white sphere. While she doesn't need a spell to cast magic, she made up one for herself "Poruri Pirari Hana Hana Pi"
