1. Everything you need to know about Playfish Cash Conversion
Starting Tuesday, April 19, 2011, you’ll be able to buy your favorite virtual items with game-specific virtual currencies such as Cooking Cash and Pet Society Cash, instead of Playfish Cash. We'll be encouraging everyone with Playfish Cash to convert it into the game-specific virtual currency of his or her favorite Playfish game(s). You do not, however, have to convert the entirety of your Playfish Cash to the same game-specific virtual currency and you don't have to do it right away.

To help you convert your Playfish Cash, we've created The Playfish Cash Converter. The next time you access one of the games transitioning from Playfish Cash to its own game-specific virtual currency, you’ll be prompted by The Playfish Cash Converter which will help you and allow you to convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currencies of your choice.

Beginning Tuesday, April 19, 2011, you’ll also notice that all items previously priced in Playfish Cash will now be priced in the game-specific virtual currency for that game, and if you want to buy virtual goods in that game you'll be required to purchase the game-specific virtual currency for that game.


2. What are the new game-specific virtual currencies?
Here's a list of the new game-specific virtual currencies we're releasing with pictures below:
Pet Society = Pet Society Cash
Restaurant City = Cooking Cash
FIFA Superstars = Superstars Cash
Madden NFL Superstars = Football Cash
Country Story = Country Cash
Hotel City = Hotel Cash
My Empire = Empire Cash





3. Why is Playfish Cash going away?
As part of our efforts to provide the best possible payment experience we have partnered with Facebook Credits for payments processing. Since Facebook Credits can eventually be used to pay for all applications and games on Facebook platform it provides users with a much broader choice to spend their credits than Playfish Cash (which could only be used on Playfish games). As a result, we are transitioning Playfish games to have their own individual game currencies and allowing the existing Playfish cash balance to be converted to these game specific currencies using The Playfish Cash Converter.


4. When will this be happening?
Starting Tuesday, April 19, 2011 until end of June 2011 you'll be able to access The Playfish Cash Converter to convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currencies for your favorite Playfish games.


5. Who will this affect?
Anyone who currently has a Playfish Cash balance.


6. What if I have an existing Playfish Cash balance?
If you have a Playfish Cash balance, each day that you log into a Playfish game you'll be asked to convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currency for your favorite Playfish games. You can always choose to convert a small amount, convert it all, or decide later. If you still haven't decided how you'd like to convert your Playfish Cash but want to buy some game-specific virtual currency, you're welcome to do that too.


7. Will I be able to buy Playfish Cash anymore?
No. Starting Tuesday, April 19, 2011, you'll only be able to purchase the game-specific virtual currencies for all your favorite Playfish games. For example, you'll be able to buy Cooking Cash in Restaurant City and Pet Society Cash in Pet Society.


8. Which games will these changes affect?
You will only be able to convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currencies for Pet Society, Restaurant City, Country Story, My Empire, Hotel City, FIFA Superstars and Madden NFL Superstars. You will also only be able to access The Playfish Cash Converter from the games listed above.


9. Why can’t I convert my Playfish Cash into game-specific virtual currencies to be used in Poker Rivals, Gangster City, or Pirates Ahoy?
In case you haven't heard, we recently announced that these games are set to be taken offline on Tuesday, June 7, 2011.Please also keep in mind that while you won’t be able to purchase additional Playfish Cash and these games won’t be introducing their own game-specific virtual currencies, you will still be able to use your remaining Playfish Cash in Poker Rivals, Gangster City, and Pirates Ahoy! until they are taken offline on Tuesday, June 7, 2011.

10. What is the conversion rate for games-specific virtual currencies?
The conversion rate for all game-specific virtual currencies are 1:1.

For example, Lee has 100 Playfish Cash and converts it all into Superstars Cash. He will then have 100 Superstars Cash.


11. By when do I need to convert my Playfish Cash into game-specific virtual currencies?
This process needs to be completed by June 30, 2011, but here's the fun part: we're giving away an awesome free gift to everyone who converts all of their Playfish Cash into one or more game-specific virtual currencies right away. The sooner you convert your cash, the more valuable the gift - so hurry!

If you haven’t converted your Playfish Cash balance into the game-specific currencies of the Playfish games of your choice by June 30, 2011, please contact customer service at http://www.playfish.com/support by filling out the support request form.


12. Will you be contacting players to let them know about the change?
Playfish will be making every effort to contact everyone who has a Playfish Cash balance to encourage them to convert to the game-specific virtual currencies of their favorite Playfish games. We’ll be announcing the news via in-game prompts, our game fan Pages on Facebook, email, the Playfish forums, and blog posts. If you’re not sure if we have your email address to keep you updated on the latest Playfish news, go to http://playfish.com/accounts/ to sign up!


13. Do I have to convert my Playfish Cash now?
No. If you don’t want to convert your Playfish Cash into one or more of the new game-specific virtual currencies now you will have the option to do so later. We'll remind you each day when you log on until all of your Playfish Cash has been converted into one or more of the game-specific virtual currencies of your choice through Thursday, June 30, 2011.


14. Do I have to convert all of my Playfish Cash at once?
No, you don't have to convert all your Playfish Cash at once. If you'd like to convert some portion of your Playfish Cash balance now and some later that's fine. Each day that you login to any of the eligible Playfish games you'll be prompted to convert your Playfish Cash, if you still have any left, until you've converted all of your Playfish Cash into one or more of the new game-specific virtual currencies through Thursday, June 30, 2011. Keep in mind that you'll only receive the free 'Thank You' gift when you finish converting all of your Playfish Cash into one or more of the new game-specific virtual currencies.

For example: Gabriella has 50 Playfish Cash, she logs in one day to play Hotel City and converts 25 Playfish Cash into Hotel Cash, she can come back later to finish converting the remaining 25 Playfish Cash for more Hotel Cash or for the game-specific virtual currencies of other Playfish games. Once Gabriella comes back to play a Playfish game and finishes converting her remaining Playfish Cash balance, she'll get a free 'Thank You' gift for the game where she's accessing The Playfish Cash Converter.


15. How can I convert my Playfish Cash?
All you need to do is log into any of the Playfish games that you play from the list below. If you have a Playfish Cash balance, the game will prompt you with The Playfish Cash Converter and will allow you to convert your Playfish Cash into one or more of the game-specific virtual currencies of your favorite Playfish games!

16. How does the process work?
To make things as easy for you as possible, when you access The Playfish Cash Converter, it will make suggestions regarding converting your Playfish Cash into one or more game-specific virtual currencies. These suggestions will be based on the games that you've already spent Playfish Cash in and play.

For example - Lauren plays Pet Society, Restaurant City and Hotel City, but has only spent Playfish Cash in Hotel City. The Playfish Cash Converter will suggest that Lauren convert her entire balance of Playfish Cash into Hotel Cash. Lauren, however, still has the option to convert her Playfish Cash into whichever game-specific virtual currency she desires.

Another example - Mark plays Restaurant City, EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars, and EA SPORTS Madden NFL Superstars. Mark has only spent Playfish Cash in EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars and EA SPORTS Madden NFL Superstars. The Playfish Cash Converter will suggest that he convert half of his remaining balance of Playfish Cash into Superstars Cash (for EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars) and the other half into Football Cash (for EA SPORTS Madden NFL Superstars).

Here's another example - Kristen wants to convert her Playfish Cash but hasn’t spent any of it before. The last Playfish game she played was Country Story. When she accesses The Playfish Cash Converter, it will suggest that she convert all of her remaining Playfish Cash into Country Cash, since that's the last Playfish game she played.

In all of the above scenarios, you will still have the option to convert your Playfish Cash into one or more of the game-specific virtual currencies (for example - Cooking Cash, Pet Society Cash, etc.) and in the amount of your choice.


17. What happens if I want to choose which game-specific virtual currencies to convert my Playfish Cash into?
You will have the option to freely convert in The Playfish Cash Converter. When you log into one of the eligible Playfish games, The Playfish Cash Converter will make a suggestion on how to convert your Playfish Cash balance. When you reach this step, simply click on the “Custom Conversion” button and you will be taken to a menu which shows all the Playfish games you currently have installed where you can click on the '+' or '-' arrows to decide how much Playfish Cash you want to convert into each of the game-specific virtual currencies for those games.

So, for example - Grace has 50 Playfish Cash and she plays Madden NFL Superstars & Restaurant City. The Playfish Cash Converter will suggest that Grace convert half of the Playfish Cash into Football Cash and the other half into Cooking Cash but Grace chooses to customize her conversion by clicking on the “Custom Conversion” button. She chooses to convert 20 Playfish Cash into Cooking Cash, and 80 Playfish Cash into Football Cash.

Please note as a friendly reminder, when you are choosing how you will customize which game-specific virtual currencies you want to convert your Playfish Cash into, you will only get a list of the games you currently have installed.


18. Can I convert my Playfish cash into other Playfish game-specific virtual currencies?
Absolutely! The Playfish Cash Converter will suggest you convert all your Playfish Cash into one or more of the game-specific virtual currencies where you've spent Playfish Cash previously, but you can also choose how you convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currencies for any Playfish game you have installed on Facebook!

If you’re accessing the “Custom Conversion” menu and you’d like to convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currency for a Playfish game not on that list, please exit The Playfish Cash Converter and navigate to the Playfish game where you’d like to convert your Playfish Cash into, follow the prompts to install it then return to The Playfish Cash Converter. To make this easier for you, below is a list of links to all the Playfish games transitioning from Playfish Cash to a game-specific virtual currency.

19. I didn’t convert my Playfish Cash when prompted before, how do I do it now?
To access The Playfish Cash Converter if you've previously chosen to convert later, just click on the Playfish Cash Counter (pictured below - shows your current Playfish Cash balance) at the top of the screen of any of the Playfish games mentioned above.









20. What happens to my Playfish Cash if I don’t convert by the deadline?
If you’re not able to convert your Playfish Cash into the game-specific virtual currencies of your favorite Playfish games by Thursday, June 30, 2011, please contact our customer service team by going to http://support.playfish.com.


21. What happens if I made a mistake converting my Playfish Cash?
Please contact our customer service team by going to http://support.playfish.com The Playfish customer service team will do their best to help out and respond quickly.


22. Will there be any extra incentive to convert early?
Yes! We're giving away a valuable, free gift to everyone who converts all of their Playfish Cash right away. The sooner you convert the more valuable the gift is, so hurry! The gift you get will depend which game you use to access The Playfish Cash Converter.

For example, Sue has 100 Playfish Cash and logs into Pet Society to convert it into game-specific virtual currencies. She converts all her Playfish Cash in Pet Society so she gets a Unicorn Petling for free!

Another example, Jon has 50 Playfish Cash and logs into My Empire to convert it into game-specific virtual currencies. He converts half into Empire Cash and half into Cooking Cash. He then receives the Lion Statue from My Empire for free!





23. Where can I find more information and help?

24. I still have a Playfish Cash Card that I haven’t redeemed yet. What do I do?
Don’t worry! You can still use your Playfish Cash Card! Simply go to http://www.playfish.com/redeem/ and follow the steps. During that process you’ll be asked for which Playfish game-specific virtual currency you’d like to redeem the value of your Playfish Cash Card. You can also redeem your Playfish Cash Card by logging into a Playfish game that has a new game-specific currency, click on the “Get Cash” tab on the top, left of the game screen or the “Add Cooking Cash” (for example) button which is also located at the top, left of the game screen. From there you’ll see the menu where you can purchase for of game-specific virtual currency, then just click on “Click here to redeem Playfish Cash Cards” at the bottom.










25. Why can’t I convert my Playfish Cash into game-specific virtual currencies to be used in Crazy Planets?
